"Guess Who's Making Whoopie With Your Girlfriend?" - The Original "Mama's Pearl!"
We all know what a big hit "Mama's Pearl" was for Michael Jackson and his brothers. However, the original version of the song was never released because Barry Gordy thought the lyrics were too suggestive for a young, bubblegum soul-singing group, like the Jackson 5. "Guess Who's Making Whoopie With Your Girlfriend," was the original title for "Mama's Pearl," and the song's message was VERY different. CLICK the Audio Player to hear both songs.

How Michael Corrected A
Historical Wrong In Music

Michael Jackson

Little Richard
Michael Jackson gave props to entertainers who came before him, like Jackie Wilson, James Brown and Little Richard. Michael studied his history was also well aware of how many pioneering musicians were taken advantage of in the early days of rock and roll -- literally signing away rights to their music for pennies. In 1985 Michael made headlines when he purchased the Sony Music Catalog. The majority of the conversation centered around the fact that it contained the Beatles' music. However, it also included Little Richard’s music catalog. And what isn’t so widely known is that when Michael purchased the catalog, he returned Little Richard’s music to him. The estimated worth of the Richard Music Catalog is about $12 Million Dollars.
Michael also regularly donated money to historically Black organizations like the United Negro College Fund and NAACP -- So much for the rumor that MJ was disconnected from his people. Much Respect, Michael!!!
